walking up the terraces away from ping'an. the whole place is too photogenic it gets difficult. because we are here at the end of the summer, the grain is at its highest. if we were there after harvest, where the grain is would just be pools of water. though it looks dense when you stand over it and look down there is a foot between each bundle, and its mostly just water, which trickles down bamboo shoots from one level to another.
